Sky Walk, Columbia Icefield
The SkyWalk is a 1 km-long engineering marvel that offers magnificent views of the Sunwapta Valley from a glass-bottom bridge 280 meters high. The Skywalk is supported by weathered steel cantilevers. This steel is environmentally friendly and practically maintenance-free. The metal rusts over time. This initial rust seals the steel preventing it from further rusting.
